US News: Scarlett Johansson just revealed the cringe-worthy moment she abruptly ditched her now-husband Colin Jost on their first date, fleeing the night so early that her babysitter thought something was seriously wrong.
The Black Widow star, 41, spilled the hilarious details while guest co-hosting Monday’s episode of Today with Jenna & Friends alongside Jenna Bush Hager.
Johansson admitted she had almost zero experience with traditional dating before meeting the Saturday Night Live Weekend Update anchor. “I was a serial monogamist,” she explained. “Nobody had ever really just asked me out the normal way.”

After years of knowing each other casually (they first met when she hosted SNL in 2006), Jost finally asked her to dinner in 2017. The date at a New York Italian restaurant started perfectly.
“It was lovely. We had dinner around 8 o’clock,” Johansson said. Everything was going great until Jost suggested extending the evening.
“He said, ‘I’m meeting some friends later, want to come grab another drink?’” she recalled. Instead of playing it cool, Johansson panicked.
“I was like, ‘Nope, I gotta go right now,’” she laughed. “I bolted.”
She made it home to relieve her babysitter at exactly 9:36 p.m., so early that the sitter asked, “Wait, why are you back already?”
Johansson told her, “I don’t know, I just got completely flustered!”
Jost later confessed he was convinced he had blown his chance. “He told me, ‘I thought that was it. You were acting so weird,’” she said.
The couple obviously recovered from the awkward exit. They went public in late 2017, got engaged in 2019, married in an intimate 2020 ceremony, and welcomed son Cosmo in August 2021. Johansson also shares 11-year-old daughter Rose with ex-husband Romain Dauriac.
Seven years into marriage, the Oscar-nominated actress says the early escape remains one of their favorite stories to laugh about, proof that even Hollywood power couples can have hilariously awkward first-date moments.
