Samsung One ui 8.5 Clock Now Bar: A recent leak reveals that Samsung’s upcoming One UI 8.5 update will add full support for clock alarms in the Now Bar, allowing Galaxy phone users to manage wake-up alerts more conveniently right from the lock screen.
The Now Bar, a pill-shaped interactive element on the lock screen and Always-On Display, already displays live updates for timers and stopwatches from the stock Clock app. With One UI 8.5, this will extend to alarms, showing the next scheduled time and any snoozed ones in real time.
Users can expand the Now Bar card to view details and quickly snooze or dismiss alarms without needing to unlock the device or open the app. This addresses a frequent user request, as alarms were previously the main Clock feature not integrated into the Now Bar.

The update builds on Samsung’s integration with Google’s Live Activities framework in Android, potentially opening the door for similar quick controls in other apps down the line.
One UI 8.5, built on Android 16, has entered beta testing on select devices, with a stable release expected early next year alongside the Galaxy S26 series.
For many who depend on their Samsung phones for daily alarms, this One UI 8.5 clock Now Bar enhancement offers a practical improvement in everyday usability, reducing steps to handle morning routines or reminders. Additional details on the update are likely to surface as the beta program progresses.
